Bull. It is exactly as efficient as any other heater. Energy and be neither created nor destroyed. Only converted. 1500 watts of electricity in, 1500 watts of heat out. It may spread it better but the exact same amount of energy comes out. Not one BTU more or less.

@wingnut99: I don't make or sell the things, I can only speak from experience. I've used oil-filled radiator type heaters, the wire-coil radiant type, and fan blown radiant ones, none of which heat the same area. Sure, they put out heat at the source, and the effect is one hot room. This heater warmed my whole downstairs: 12x18 living room, 11x14 dining room, and 13x18 kitchen. My furnace stayed off all day. You can't argue with results. "Spreading out better" equals more efficient.

Anytime you see someone marketing heater "efficiency," run away, it's scam to make you pay more. ALL heaters are 100% efficient (except those which have to exhaust gases to the outdoors). For things which aren't 100% efficient (like motors, lights, etc.), the lost efficiency is due to, guess what?, HEAT!

@mikes123: THEY aren't marketing the efficiency. I stated it was more efficient than other heaters I've owned. And they aren't asking you to pay MORE. This price is much less than what it sells for elsewhere. $109 + 16 shipping on Amazon. Rated 4 stars. The whole point of deals.woot is users pointing out good deals to others. I had great results with this heater, and just bought two more at a great price.

Don't buy one if you don't want one. Spurious argument about "energy" are ridiculous. Read the specs on the similar models of the same type heaters- some heat a smaller area. ALL use 1500 watts. Therefore THIS one is more efficient than those.

15 100-watt light bulbs use the same amount of "energy" but won't heat three rooms in your house.

I drive a school bus, I don't work for Dailysteals, or a heater company. I was just trying to spread the word on a product that works for a change.
