Here's the quote...
"The biggest feature: it has 3 alarms which can be set to tune in an FM station and RECORD the program in your absence. It also has a built-in mike to record voice messages. You could have it remind you at any time, with a message of your choice. It has an SD card so the memory can be expanded."

That display looks like it is as big as a slide or a photo negative... and the buttons look about as big as the jacks in the back. I think this thing must be teeny tiny...

I'm thinking it might be a good travel alarm???? But who needs those anymore - every hotel has an alarm clock or front desk call! Camping - no alarm needed - you have birds!

Nope, not in for one even though I need a new alarm clock.

Oh, and that recording Tivo feature, love it!!!

@stoner: The site is back up. Looks to have been down due to the Woot Off.

Does this run on batteries or what?

A 1.8 inch screen would be just under 1.5 inches wide... So it looks like this would be about 9-10 inches wide and 3-4 inches tall.

@wolforigami: I bet it says some interesting things on the side of that box about battery operation, but here's my theory: It takes 6vdc in from the power plug, and the battery compartment looks like it's probably just the right size for 4 AAs, or 6vdc. I would expect that it could run on batteries only...

Just picked one of these up used/returned at a local junk place for $20 plus tax. Wish I had seen this first. It runs on batteries or AC adapter. The interface & UI is pretty screwy. Could be made much better by firmware update, but Jensen isn't the type of company that will like release a new firmware.

As an alarm clock I'd say it's pretty poor, but if you want something to listen to MP3s(or WMA) on your desk it's a great deal. Will record FM either directly or on a timer. Records from a built in microphone as well though I haven't had a chance to try either of those features.

Both the built in memory and the SD card (no SDHC support) show as removable drives when plugged into a PC (was recognized fine under OpenSuSe 11.3). It plays files off the built in first then the SD card, No way to change the sequence. In photo mode I could not get any audio function though the engrish directions don't seem to list that as being possible anyways.

Think I'll get this moofi & take mine back.

@voovfeegbean: The dimensions are 7 and 3/4 inches long by 3 and 3/4 tall. The controls are a bit small though the snooze button is good sized about 1 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch. Oddly the the snooze button is used to change modes. Menu only gets you to time and alarm setting.

Received it Yesterday no Power supply in the box, but it works fine off of Batteries. This evening I got the tracking number for the woot smart post shipment. LoL.
