This seems like a pretty good deal.

I am trying to find a good e-reader for my technophobic mom. I think she would really like and appreciate an e-reader, but the original nook color that I got her refurbished just seemed to confuse her thoroughly. I wonder if something like this - where there isn't a bunch of apps and such - might be a better fit.

Hmmm I posted this very deal on Sunday and it never went thru. Irregardless, this is a fantastic e-reader, I have read dozens of books on my ST. Even really tricky reads like Infinite Jest, with its 300+(!) end notes, its far easier reading it on the ST than as a book or Kindle. I also like the touch system, as opposed to Kindle's button system. This is a great deal

I was able to find the Nook for the price quoted along with the free shipping, but not with the 30.00 gift card. Still a good deal.
