@mothersnakes: For preteens, bright enough for a scary movie projected on the inside of the tent (assuming they are camping away from lights). For young adults, same thing, except, substitute a romantic movie. These are not suitable for teenagers, or at least not near my teenage daughter.
@poulsbokid: Thanks for the perspective view. Excellent.
PKA21 is the number for the package that comes with the PK201 and the iPod connect kit.
But for the brightness issue, this would be so freaking coool! Hoping the projection capabilities improve with newer models.
Well on candle is 13 so 20 is what about a candle and a half?
How bright is a 70" picture be with 20 lumens lighting it?
Given that a candle flame is about 13 lumens, these aren't very bright. There are battery life issues as well. Honestly, the technology is just really not there yet. I've been tempted by the laser version of these, but even those are not very bright.
The specs and picture make it look more like the 201 model. Maybe the numbers change for refurbished ones. Reasonable Amazon reviews. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039XRJ68/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=dealswoot-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0039XRJ68
Anyone have one of these? How is it?
