I got this TV about 2 weeks ago for $380 at Best Buy on clearance, the edge lighting is obvious at high brightness but at low/normal brightness its not noticeable. Sound is adequate and the slimness of it is pretty impressive for the price.

Brother bought one had a few dead pixels on it out of the box. A friend bought one as a secondary tv, and had no issues with it. Just remember, it is what it is for the price.
