I got a similar one when it was up for a woot about six months ago - worst coffee maker I've ever owned. Overflowed and spewed coffee grounds all over my kitchen 1 out of every 4 times I've used it. Cuisinart wouldn't do anything to support (as it was off woot). It's now dying a slow death where the buttons only work sporadically to turn it on/off and start my morning coffee (I can only assume due to the mass amounts of overflowed coffee it's been submerged in). I thought this was a great deal when I first bought it, but in retrospect, I wouldn't buy it if it were $5 - I'd use that 5 for a decent freaking unit. Can't believe they're $100 new.

Had this same coffee maker for 5 1/2 years. I would highly recommend it, those that had issues, no idea what they are doing wrong.

I had this coffee maker for years, makes good coffee, and the grinder on a timer is a great function. The problem is maintenance. Because steam from the brewing coffee works its way up into the grinder you have to completely clean out the grinder every time. If spending 3-5 minutes cleaning the coffee maker every day is worth fresh ground coffee on a timer it's great, If you don't want to be bothered, pass.

It's true, Local.Woot is no longer, but please don't despair.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
