Good until 6pm today, 2/19/2011. Be warned that when creating a Green Man account that they use that funny euro way of entering dates: day, month, year. Barbarians.

Quick Review by DojoTec (me) - Good version of the game, but at full boat can be a resource hog and slow down your system ( I have an i7 Desktop w/ an ATI 5850). Great Price - I paid $40 in early January. Has Steam copy protection - which lets you play at different times on multiple systems - but having to register your activation code to your Steam account will prevent you from selling it in the future.

Ahhhhhh! So tempting! I love me some Civ, but I'm a bit paranoid about buying a steam certificate from...not steam. Can anyone vouch for this deal?

I just took advantage of this awesome deal. I was so tempted to get the 30 dollar one on steam. This just saved me 10 bucks! Awesome!

It totally worked, I'm downloading it on steam right now.

Thought I'd put my 2 cents in. Yes, GMG is a real company. You may not have heard of them because they are relatively new on the scene- the company only opened about a year ago. However, I've started to see them put up advertisements on gaming blogs here and there- Rock, Paper, Shotgun for example. They still need to set up some user forums, but they still have a dev blog and reviews worth reading.

The thing that makes them different is that you buy digital copies of games, download them via a console (like steam). Once you decide that you no longer want the game, you sell it back to them for store credit. It's almost a metagame, trying to maximize your return. Anyway, because that key was already purchased, they don't have to purchase a new one, so they can sell that key back for less than the original price. It's a used digital copy. This also means that if they have run out of used copies, then the trade-in price is the highest, so it's good to keep an eye out.

Awesome! Downloading now. Worked fine for me! Great deal!

@broklynite: That may work for some games, but it definitely won't work for Civ 5 or any other game that can only be activated on Steam. Once it's used, it's tied to your account.

I just tried to buy it, but it says I have $19.98 in credit, and I don't see the key yet. I'll wait for a bit I guess, it says my order's being processed. hope it works

I will wait till they come out with the game plus all the add on and expansions for half the price it sells for now. They do it with all Civ games. Sure you are a year behind, but you don't get nickel and dimed to death for updates.

Tried to buy it, gave my CC info and clicked "buy" only to be met with a message to the effect of "Our servers are busy right now. Try later." Not sure if the payment went through or not. Tried again an hour or so later and now it's 404'ing. I do have $19.98 credit though.

So I tried to order and it said that the servers are busy. I tried to order again but it says order been placed. Game is now no longer being offered and now i have 19.98 credits with no games worth getting. I want a refund now

UPDATE: they've run out of CD keys. If you contact their support, they will either refund your credit or honor your purchase when they can. They had very quick response time.
