This is pretty cool. The front page lists current deals that will end in a day or two, but there are many more deals that will last until Jan. 3 I think.

Going to top games under $5 or $10 gives lists of many recognizable games, some which are gems from the past like KOTOR and Chaos Theory. If you haven't played some of these, now is a great time!

This website is a nice list of discounted games from Steam, but I don't think its complete. It is nice to have a list on one page though.

@darkdrag0n: If you wait for the scrolling marque under where it says "Premier Deals until January 3rd" it has the games that are on sale until then

I had no clue steam was going to put all of these games on sale. If you are going to buy any game though buy Braid....one of the best indie games ever made and at 2.50 you really cant lose out.

This is always their best sale of the year. There are games on here that have not been this cheap since last year despite the fact that a year has gone by. If there is anything you have your eye on, this is always the time to do it.

Nice assortment of games. Wish I had time to play.

Don't forget you can make gift purchases in case you still haven't bought presents yet.

Thanks for the deal. Just purchased a game for my nephew. Now I can avoid the mall.

As if I don't have enough games to play already.
Picking up GTA 4 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (latter only because it's too cheap not to try it).

I'd get Defense Grid, but have it already. It's a great game, and the price makes it a great deal.

this is a great deal - I love older games -- and I've heard such good things about Braid...

Here I go adding more items to the pile of games I may or may not play someday... (Dont' tell my wife!)

Braid is not to be missed. As someone who has been blowing money on Steam weekend deals for quite some time now, let me advise you to research games and make sure you will like them before filling up your hard drive. Just because somethings cheap doesn't mean it's good.

On the other hand, GTA IV for $7.50? Count me in!

Far Cry 2 for under $10... unbelieveable!!!!

Don't forget Torchlight for $10

And no one has talked about the Eidos pack which is $50 with Batman Arkham Asylum, 3 Hitman games, 2 Deus Ex games, Thief, and a ton of other stuff. Buy it now.

bought two games for $5.00 not too shabby

Do you want to know how much your profile has cost you (including purchases made with this sale)? Check out http://www.steamcalculator.com/calculate.php. Input your profile number and not your profile ID (details below).

To use, log into the steam application, choose the Community tab and choose the Home icon to get your profile number. (The URL should display something like: 'http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/home'; where xxx is your profile number.) Alternatively, use your actual Steam_ID (not as easy to find but doable).

Note: using 'http://steamcommunity.com/id/yyyyyyyyyyy'; where yyy is your profile name will fail and generate a large value like the following result:

Account value: $2063.3
$2648.75 without packages

If you get that, it's wrong.

I don't see ANY $0 games;

That said I wanted to buy the rockstar and eidos packs; not to mention civ 4 complete and a few others; the total price is more than it would cost to buy the Wii and 2 controllers that were stolen from me Christmas eve.

Loom for $2.49 is the only thing I'm getting. Nothing else really entices me too much for the prices, but I'm watching the daily deals
