How is a 3 day old deal that has expired (now $75.24?) a sponsored deal of the day???

edit: Ha! They must've just updated the site...$9.99 now. :) all is good.

edit 2: for what it's worth...i've ordered two deals from cigar.com before. (humidor sampler & a travel case sampler). decent quality upon arrival. i did have to rehumidify a few sticks though. happy with my dealings with them.

$5.95 Shipping. Decent deal.

Yea. I just finished up my order. With tax, $16.90. The lighter + the Cohiba is worth about $20.

I've had one of the included lighters and it is well worth the price alone.

Good information guys, thank you! I am always at a complete loss as to what to get my husband for Fathers Day. He enjoys an occasional cigar so this would be perfect, and unexpected.

$15.94 including shipping..... not a bad start to Monday

The last deal I took advantage of was fantastic. This one also bodes well. The lighter is a great bonus.

@traquy:FYI Unless you have a humidor these will be very dried out by fathers day.

@traquy: Unless you have a humidor, these will not keep for that long. That being said, if you do not have a humidor, I would certainly give them to him now so he can enjoy them now.

It drives me crazy how these great cigar deals get tons of downvotes simply because of what they are, and not at all due to the quality of the product or the deal being offered.

I'd be willing to bet that, of today's sponsored Woot Deals, this is easily in the top 2 for number of units sold.

you do not need a humidor to keep it, just get some tupperware and put a shot glass of water in there. It will not keep forever, but it will keep for a few weeks

@roafw: I don't mean to be a stickler. But just for clarification, what you have described IS a makeshift humidor. And a humidor, whether nice wood or makeshift, is necessary.

I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea that a humidor is not needed. But rather, I want to clarify that you are absolutely right that it doesn't take much to keep these in the absence of making an investment in a real humidor.

@criticalcritic: Would also recommend using distilled water as it will make the cigars last longer and if you can just use a small sponge also. I have a humidor that holds 100 cigars but when I get an overflow I break out the tupperware and sponge and just make a makeshift humidor to keep my inventory fresh.

@rbarger: Yep, I got the black black-ops lighter with the last deal so it looks like I will be adding to my collection.

I've taken advantage of so many cigar deals...too many lighters!!

vote-for1vote-against

@first2summit: Lucky you. I had a Colibri lighter I picked up for ~$15 I took with me EVERYWHERE for over two years (before it disappeared from my pants one day) and have been hard-pressed to find another lighter that worked as well and was easy to refill. What is it with cheap refillable lighters and their inability to take butane?

In for 1 just for the lighter!

Even to pay $16 shipped for the lighter is good to have an extra. Cigar.com's little deals like these are always great. I also order plenty off their site with no problem.
