Too bad they cannot kill Nicolas Cage over again in the sequel. Best part of the first film.
(yes, a sequel has been or is being written. original cast is onboard.)
@nerdyjustin: Come on, that was his best work. I know, not saying much...
Movie should have followed the comic book series more closely. The casting, other than NC, was spot-on.
Here's some info on the Kick-Ass 2 movie. http://collider.com/kick-ass-2-sequel-mark-millar/168088/
Awesome movie. Hit-Girl Pwned everyone at the warehouse and building.
Never knew there was a book.
I preferred the movie over the GN as a one-off. With the continuation of the story (in for 1), the deviations of the movie make it ripe for much more standard sequel fare, where the book is in a better position to maintain its freshness.
@nerdyjustin: the original director isn't, though. New guy's resume isn't exactly impressive. Makes me nervous.
@jratma: yeah, but sometimes new blood is a good thing, eh?
@zuiquan: I beg to differ, face off, but maybe your too much of a young punk to remember that movie...
@bayjacob: You're obviously some sort of crazy person because if you watched that movie you'd know that was actually John Travolta under there!
With no power, comes no responsibility. Only that isn't true.
I thought the first movie was forgettable. I don't expect much from the sequel, book or otherwise.
@bayjacob: Face off? I'd take Raising Arizona over that heap any day of the week. Classic Coen brothers.
Also, he got the Academy Award for best actor for Leaving Las Vegas. I wouldn't say that qualifies as a bum. He's just been forced to do crap movies like this one because he spends way too much money.
