As a side note, these are great for. You can with any! In four to!
@dwass: I take it English is not your primary language?
1. These are great for [what?]
2. You can [what?] with any [what?}
3. You probably mean you are in "for two" not in "four to."
These are the same standard issue sea-bags we used in the Marines. I've had two that have been used HEAVILY over the last eight years. They've taken through Kuwait and Iraq twice (20 months total), that are still holding together today. They're also pretty water resistant. I wouldn't submerge them, but they'll keep the rain out.
As a side note, I pretty much lived out of these for four years of my life. =P
@nb109: Thank you
@nb109: I was going to comment that I got mine for free, but I see you beat me to it. Semper Fi!
This seems like a really great price! I already have a large duffle bag stuffed with smaller duffle bags that are all cheap crap and will never be used, but I have high hopes for this one!
Not a good deal. You can get one on sportsmansguide for $13 and free shipping.
@nb109 & @tnrobert43 - Thank you for your service. And the review of the bag. But, mostly for your service.
@tearsmartyr: I looked at the site trying to find the same bag and had no luck. Did you have a link?
Note that these are used. I bought one off Amazon a while back (I believe it was from here: http://www.amazon.com/Official-US-Military-Surplus-Duffle/dp/B001TXXLZI ) and it arrived rather beat up.
These bags are amazingly sturdy though, just thought I'd point this out in case someone missed it.
I should run over to the base shop and see what they sell for there. Not enlisted, but I work on base. Much respect to those that are serving and have served, thank you! I wonder what these sell for new and if I'd need to hit the commisary or uniform shop to find them...
I have probably 4 of these laying around, and a couple of them have been HEAVILY used. If they really are the standard-issue, you're getting a very decent bag for $15.
@tearsmartyr: It is $15 dollars from there if you are not a paying member of the website and they are out of stock until May 15th.
great if your homeless vet/drifter I did that from 2008-2010 ex army, semper fudge
I just got mine today, and it's new! I was expecting it to be used and beat up but as far as I can tell it's brand new. Good deal!
