This is such a great deal I had to get one. I was looking for years and this is the first time they ever dropped the pricing this low.

If anyone has one could you let us know how you like it? Thanks!

I am considering a purchase myself, but I'm worried the novelty factor will wear off fairly quickly.

Does anyone own one of these and use it avidly?

I go to the gym 5-6 times a week because it is a part of my lifestyle, so this would only be a supplemental piece of equipment to have at home so I don't need to go to the gym as often. I could save on gas and time it takes to go to the gym, but maybe it would end up being a clothes hanger like it does for so many others selling it on craigslist.........

Check out the reviews on Amazon, lots of good things being said, not much negative: http://amzn.to/9hwu7s

And if you're going to want to upgrade the max resistance of 210lb, you'll need the power rod upgrade. On Amazon for $99. 210lb -> 310lb (http://amzn.to/cOdM5d) 310lb -> 410lb (http://amzn.to/9BF9h1)

The rods are the same price on the Bowflex site, but shipping is $10.99.

in for one, so far...considering having my wife buy another one to sell for profit to cover the first one...this deal is unbelievable, how can you pass it up?

vote-for3vote-against

@tmack0: So can opening a 3rd floor window and falling out ... yet they still keep putting windows in building with 3+ levels.

vote-for2vote-against

bought 1...seems like a great deal and they have always looked pretty cool.

vote-for2vote-against

I'd just do P90X if I were you. Invest in some dumbells.

I've had a Bowflex and a Total Gym and I got bored with both because they're very limited in what you can do with them.

vote-for2vote-against

At this price you'd only need to do around 40 workouts before it saves enough on gym costs to pay for itself. Maybe less, if you count driving and parking. And if it starts gathering dust, you can probably sell it on Craigslist for that much.

Ridiculous deal. I've been looking at getting a Bowflex for years but could never justify the expense. At this price though, I bought two and will try to sell the second one at a price high enough to recoup my expenses on the first. You have to love model closeouts!

vote-for1vote-against

Heck yes! $900 off and free shipping!!! WOW!

vote-for1vote-against

Great Price!!! Just got one...

That's a great deal. I have a old Joe Wieder home gym and I use it all the time. It is very convenient to have one of these machines if you want to do more than sit ups and push ups. They are much safer than free weights if you work out alone. I would jump on this if I didn't have a home gym already.

In for one, my brother just sold this exact model on craigslist for $600 used. He had no complaints with it, just no time to use it. Since I started working from home I've needed a good option for a workout, this is great.

in for one! my wife has been talking about "getting a bowflex... getting a bowflex" for a couple of years. this will save us some cold, hard cash so thanks for the post!

A great addition to my home! The top bar holds approximately 18 hung shirts, while the bench has ample room for a full basket of unfolded laundry (4 stacked if folded). The back vertical rods are absolutely perfect for individually air drying tube socks. One standard litter box fits underneath as well.

I have just made the investment in this bargain deal. Many years away from weightlifting am I, and the thought of it gives me the shudders a bit. But I know I have to do it. A good price and the convenience of being able to work out at home made this a BUY.

My wife bought me a bowflex back in 1999 for Christmas - couldn't believe how expensive it was, but I still use it today (the marketing about 90% are still in use is true for me). Always found the machine to work well and easy to change between exercises very quickly. You won't get to be a hulk with only 210 overall lbs. of weight, but for $400, you can't go wrong. I bought one as an upgrade to my old one.

I've been wanting one for years. Have been watching CL to see about picking up a used one. Today I see this deal and I placed my order. This is cheaper then when they discontinued the last models. Can't wait to get it.

That one kid killed him self with one of these for some auto-erotic asphyxiation thing. It was on gizmodo pretty lulz'y

vote-for1vote-against

Darn ... missed another one. I need to start checking these woot deals at night instead of 1st thing in the morning.

vote-for1vote-against

Never mind - missed the code. I just ordered. THANK YOU!

I have a Bowflex Ultimate that I bought for $300 off Craigslist. I've been using it for about a year and eating a reduced calorie diet. I've brought my weight from 229 pounds to 188 pounds. I haven't noticed a gain in muscle, just more tone. I think it's a fun and safe workout great for beginners. I want to try something else now, but I don't know what.

vote-for1vote-against

@wildridge: You can increase the power rods up to 410 pounds... that should start building more muscle.

vote-for2vote-against

On sale at Sears for the same price (at least in my area),so if code goes kaboom check them out.

vote-for2vote-against

Sears doesn't sell the Extreme model, it is the cheaper PR1000 model that is on sale for $399

vote-for3vote-against

@JDGRIFFIN...Good to know, my boss didnt specify the model number, have taken her out back and made her aware of her error...

vote-for1vote-against

Still want a Total Gym . . . If its good enough for Chuck its god enough for . . . ANYONE

vote-for1vote-against

In for one. I'll look fabulous next spring. Thanks!

vote-for1vote-against

just bought one. im pumped. greeeeeat price.

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks! In for one.

I still prefer the gym, but this will make for a nice evening workout, or if I miss the gym.

vote-for1vote-against

@codysnyder7777: It must just be a build up of all the orders for this one. I ordered yesterday morning and I've already received my shipment tracking number even though it said 3-5 days before shipping.

vote-for1vote-against

man, i went to order one, but it wouldn't accept my coupon code. then i realized it expired 3.5hrs ago. uhhhggg!!!

vote-for1vote-against

@codysnyder7777: ordered mine on Monday. Not only has it shipped, it's showing up today...of course it helps if you live 3hrs away from Portland. Thanks @bestbuysucks!

vote-for2vote-against

In this newfangled era of tha interwebz sometimes it helps to be old fashioned and give the company a call. Ring a ding ding in for 1 after deadline.

vote-for1vote-against

Got a call from the bowflex people yesterday. They told me due to more orders than they anticipated, shipping estimate is now December 20th. Bummer - but wll make a nice Christmas present for ME.

vote-for1vote-against

@bestbuysucks: I just got an email from them... it is going to take until freakng December for them to ship it. i am a little pissed.

vote-for1vote-against

got a robo call from their call ceneter the other day - due to the overwhelming response they are projecting a delivery date of 12/20. They said I could cancel if I wanted to, but I'll wait. I don't think they counted on the coupon going viral...
