I bought one of these about a month ago in an open box sale at a local comouter store and it is awesome. It's like having a completely new computer.

@tcayer: With SSDs like this one at a little over $0.60 / GB, they are still outrageously more expensive than traditional, platter HDDs (which I've seen recently at about $0.08 / GB).

Another few years and some SSDs might finally be in my price range!

@secretagentman02: I hear you. But I have a 512GB Samsung 830 in my 2011 17" Macbook Pro and a pair of them in RAID 0 booting my new Windows 8 Rig. I also have 3 of the m4 Crucial Drives ranging form 128GB to 256GB in various other boxes...these drives may be a little pricey but they breathe life into anything you drop them in.
