I've got the previous model (no wifi/ network support) and love it. It performs a superb job at decoding H264 packed video and playing it at HD with no problems.

The subtitle support is a little lacking though.

Misleading price, the link lists it as $119.

@icedpenguin: Regarding the misleading price, Amazon seems to have crack-addled monkeys in charge of their prices. Prices sometimes fluctuate by several percent up, down, then up again within several minutes.

I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that the price listed at the time this deal was posted was, in fact, $99.

Cant these things be had for 100 bucks on the regular?

Must of sold out cause I don't the the $99 deal. I will say that this is sn awesome product for those who like movies and not having to put on dvd to watch.

@kanabis: I believe so. $80 for a refurb on ebay and mine is still going strong.

I had the first version of this but returned it. The problem was that the audio and video wouldn't sync up on transcoded TiVo files.

Looks slick. May be the answer to my DVR debate.

Seems like quite a dew of these "deals" are the electronic age version of bait and switch. Put a really good deal up to get buzz and have folks visit the web site, then pull the deal.

I had it on the screen for $99 then when I added it to the cart it was $119. I deleted it.

If you go to JR.com and order it for $119, enter FREESHIP100 for the promo code and get free shipping.

great product. the new version has a built in ethernet port that provides smooth playing on hi-def source material over a network

$30 cheaper than Best Buy, already gone!

vote-for2vote-against

FYI-- Best Buy is going to have these for 74.99 on Black Friday.

I've been looking for something like this; does anyone know of an ATSC tuner (w/QAM decoding) (not connected to a TV, or other large object)?

vote-for1vote-against

Best Buys bf version for $75 does not have the ethernet port.

Apparently will not work with Apple's Time Machine. Try HP version.

I have the other model that doesn't have the wifi and it's great! All my movies and shows all in one place with easy to use setup and controls. It's easy to move from the living room to the bedroom and small enough to fit on any tv stand. Excellent product.

You can get and mod an old xbox for $50.00. It does the same and more!

Seems the more you (or others) visit a product, the more it goes up, and visa-versa. Automated price via popularity.

@chadakis: A modded XBOX can do high def video? Sorry, you're wrong, as much as I like XBMC on a modded XBOX, it certainly cannot do high def video.
