What if I want to use it at home? Do I need batteries or will it come with a plug adapter?

vote-for1vote-against

@kiouji: I was thinking the same thing. Looks like it's only battery powered, bummer. Would rather not deal with 4 D batteries

What brand is this? I want to look at more reviews before I have my friend sleep on this for two weeks.

How well does it last? How comfortable is it?

vote-for1vote-against

You can get adapter shells to use rechargeable AA batteries instead (for about one use per charge), but I'd also MUCH prefer an AC or at least 12 volt adapter. If someone can find a description that mentions a power in port, I'm in for one.

use a hair dryer on cool or a vacuum cleaner that blows to save batteries

@rslong: great idea thanks for the info..

new woot please we need electronics not this rubbish

vote-for1vote-against

so...could i manually pump it? or use like a bike pump?

vote-for1vote-against

@rayfong92: looking at the pump adapters, a pike pump wouldn't work. It looks like a hair dryer or shop vac (with hose attached to the outlet) might, but if you only have 12 volt power you'd still have a problem. BTW: anyone using a shop vac: remember to blow the dirt out first, when you first turn it on.

I have an Aero bed that has too many small leaks to repair. Will the plug in pump that came with it fit over the nazzle? A goodx pic of the nozzle would be nice.....

vote-for1vote-against

This looks just like the lower end Coleman inflatables - the pump and attachments HAVE to be from the same OEM. And yes, I realize that one could argue that ALL Coleman inflatables are lower end...

I just bought this same air mattress last month (for $3 more). Used it as an extra bed in hotel rooms while on a trip with the kids. My 17 yr old son slept on it for several nights and had no complaints. The pump does use 4 D batteries and pumps up in less than 1 minute. To deflate you switch the nozzle placement and the pump sucks all the air back out for easy folding. As long as you're not using this as a trampoline it should last pretty well. I would not recommend it for a pool float.

This is just what I was looking for! Thanks WOOT! I'm in for 3!

vote-for1vote-against

I'd rather use Double D batteries than try and attach a vac or hair dryer

in for 2! Nothing under $30 on eBay, and most are $40 or more. Great to have on hand. I have a Queen Aero which has seen a lot of use over the years, and this is more versatile!

vote-for0vote-against

in for 1! i have this same item in queen size and it works pretty well. i've been looking for a twin for my son for our camping trips, and this price is the best i've seen by far!

I bought two of these a couple of months ago to have around in case we had more than one person staying at my house. I used one myself recently recently. I made a dumb assumption that I would be able to plug the pump into a wall, but it is battery powered only. So I ended up on buddy's couch for a night and went to the store the next day. After I got some batteries, though, they were pretty comfortable...as far as air mattresses go. I guess the battery power would be nice for camping, but it would be nice to have the option to just plug it in. That being said, it's totally worth $16 + $5 shipping to have an extra bed or two for a guest or to bring with you when you are the guest.

Aren't most of these (if you are up for it) able to be blown up with your mouth (just in case you don't have the batteries)?

Regardless, in for one!

vote-for1vote-against

Just buy rechargeable NiMH batteries for the thing.

Sweet! Extra beds for my apartment! In for two!

vote-for1vote-against

@lacotomo: There is a pic of the package contents that shows three adapters, hopefully you can tell if they might work as with the vacuum idea it doesn't have to fit tight because the pressure in a airbed is low. With a hair dryer you have to be careful and not overheat the motor from restricting the air flow.

Looks good, pretty cheap, I'll get one for my Burning Man trip :) Cheap, probably will last the entire time, and if it gets destroyed by the end, who cares?

vote-for1vote-against

Yea I'm contemplating this for BM, too.

vote-for1vote-against

Same price as Walmart?!?! C'mon woot, you can do better than that!
Sure it has a blower but sheesh , the $5 shipping takes that deal away. Looks like woot is just another walmart...without the selection (and the grunge).

vote-for0vote-against

I wonder how well it last when i romp around with my girlfriend on it!!!

@alan93: Sorry, I'm breaking my vow. Please show us the link. This is the best that I have from Walmart is $24 without an air pump.

@alan93: This is a great deal. If you are in need of an air mattress with AN AIR PUMP...you are not going to find any deal better than this! In for 3.

vote-for1vote-against

Guys, this is a good deal - for camping or the mother in-law to See the pump at I paid like
$20 for a Coleman pump just like this. Heck it may be Coleman for all we know... here is the link on the pump. Just take the batteries out after using it. I had one for camping and they corroded in a year in storage. ooops...

vote-for1vote-against

I bought this a few months ago. After inflating it, it was loosing air immediately. Not the most high quality of product and like someone said before, you can get one like it at Walmart or Target for the same cost and it is much easier to return there.
