Can someone tell me how they can advertise these as 2000 watts? I see this all the time with hair dryers.

Watts = Volts x Amps

2000 = 120 x I; I = 2000 / 120; i = 16.66667

or for those that have 110 Volts:

2000 = 110 x I; I = 2000 / 110; i = 18.181818

My circuit breaker is 15A and these so-called 2000 Watt dryers do not pop the breaker. Why is that?
