I just bought the last pack. By the way, Costco isn't a better price if you have to pay sales tax...especially 9+% in WA or Chicago.
I'm in. 72 batteries should last me and the kids at least a couple of weeks.
Didn't accept my Amex or Discover, even though it shows they take discover. Annoying.
@pegdashfab: I've had good luck with the Fry's brand alkalines as well. Those go for about 7.50 for 40 and can often be found for 6 bucks once a month or so.
@narquespamley: I don't see any "hate on Costco" at least on this page. Post as many of their deals as you want. My post was only concerning you adding quotes around the word deal as if this wasn't. Less than 28 cents apiece for quality AA alkalines delivered to your door is a very good price.
IKEA AA batteries are (also) around 21¢ ea. in packs of ten.
I don't understand the hate on Costco. People post superior brick-and-mortar deals here all the time that are regionally specific. A lot of the deals themselves are regionally specific, and I don't thumbs down them for being so.
@narquespamley: (sigh) No Costcos in our state yet.
@narquespamley: Thanks for the info, I go to Costco at least once a month and I didn't know this. Costco is a good company that pays its employees well and stays true to low prices, I support them whenever I can!
Over 37 million households are Costco members. Many of them (like ours) shop there at least once or twice a month, and so adding a package of batteries to the shopping list is no big deal.
@narquespamley: That's a lot of ifs. 1) you have one close by 2) are a member and 3) you don't mind going by there to pick them up. Personally it doesn't seem worth the couple of bucks you're saving. Wouldn't have been said a thing if you hadn't put deal in quotes, but stuff like that just sets me off.
Including shipping on this "deal", Costco Kirkland AA batteries wind up being a better deal, at around 21 cents each in 48-pack if you're a member. The Kirkland batteries are also rated as highly as Duracell (which is widely believed to be the manufacturer for Costco) by Consumer Reports.
Use the coupon FreeYugBuck to get $1 off, making the deal better. I found the coupon on retailmenot and it worked for my order
There's a one dollar off any item coupon. Use "Facebuck"
is it just me or is Kodak getting 500% more advertising and sales than before they filed for bankruptcy?? Can't seem to throw a stick without hitting a Kodak battery or digital camera for sale lately....
in for one
Holy Cow! That's 5.4V / $!
I bought this deal awhile back directly from Woot (I think November?) .. Under $20 delivered to your home, a great deal. These are good batteries too, as my kids go through tons of batteries in their toys and stuff.
@tomthirtysix: Thanks. I must have goofed when I posted it. I tattled it and asked the mods to make changes, but if they don't at least folks will see your comment and get the correct numbers. Still a good deal!
You can never have too many batteries!
Title says $13.97, but description and the site say $14.97. But the total with shipping in the description reflects the wrong price. It should be $19.97 shipped.
