This is absolutely perfect. The one thing I didn't care for on the one that I already have was the bluetooth. Bluetooth is EVIL. It's the very first thing I disable whenever I get a new device that has it.

I am one happy camper. Well, except that now I either have to carry my iPod back and forth, or buy a new iPod. New iPods can wait, though. What I really wanted this for was the CD Player. Perfect. Thank you.

@wootvan: I'll just buy a new one. I use craigslist now and then, but mostly to get rid of things (if you think people are crazy on Deals about FREE, you ought to see the deluge of email when you post something for free on craigslist).

Got one from Woot about a year ago: sound is pretty decent, remote is hard to decipher easily as are the controls on the top panel (they are actually awkward.) Alarm/awaken comes on with a preset volume, not the last one you used--could scare you in a bedroom. Doesn't charge the recent/last gen of iPods. Needs external antennae for radio use (they are included.)

Walmart and Amazon sell a newer version for $25 more. Not sure what the differences are but they advertise it as specifically supporting the iPhone and newer iPods. Also, if you're buying this to use as a clock/alarm clock, you might want to reconsider. The display turns off after 15 minutes (eco-mode) and at least with the bluetooth version there is no way to disable eco-mode. Also, there is no snooze with the alarm feature so it will continually play and if you turn it off and fall back to sleep, it won't come on again until the next day. There are also no 5-day or weekend features other than disabling the alarm manually.

As a stereo, the BTM630 was great and I loved the CD player as well as the USB and SD card slot for new songs. Hopefully this has similar sound quality.

@rkstevens: If you think you have a better deal, then post it AS A DEAL. If it's better, it'll get voted up. Besides, this deal was posted as a response to a #challenge, and @catbertthegreat knows that I don't shop at Walmart. Ever. I may vote up deals from Wally World, if they seem good, but it would have been pointless for him to have posted that deal, since I don't shop there.

Just saying. Yes, I DO need more coffee.

@rkstevens: When you post a newer model, you might want to include why it is the newer model.

The DCM250 has support for the iPhone, that's it. For proof, here is Philip's comparison chart for the DCM230 and DCM250:

I just had experience with a similar model and I also remembered seeing a newer version at Walmart and on Amazon which is why I replied.

I don't really know how Deals.woot works since I never really visited it before Woot forced me to go there every time I click on Sellout.Woot. Anyway, I just wanted to provide info in case anyone was interested. Sorry if it wasn't done properly. I won't comment again.
