Band Of Brothers: Complete HBO Series [Blu-ray] for $20.51
(Commemorative 6-Disc Gift Set In Tin Box)
Region A & B (North America and Europe).
The item price will drop to £12.49 when you check out. Your shipping rate may vary based on your location. For me it came out to £3.08. My total was $25.35.
Amazon's price may also go up or down at any time. They seem to price things based on popularity/sales sometimes. So the more something sells, the more the price may go up.
Bought it for $25.35 after shipping~
@darkinc: Good deal, same as me! =)
I've ordered this from Amazon UK before...but someone stole the package from my doorstep. This seems like the perfect time to re-order it!
I let my bank convert instead of Amazon and it saved me a dollar. Do they charge for conversion?
$25.13 for Blu-Ray!! How can you not purchase this!!!
@johnt007871: Amazon must charge some nominal fee for conversion, because the pound to dollar conversion doesn't quite add up. But banks/credit card companies may also charge you 3-5% or a flat fee for conversion, which you'll see later in your fees.
Don't forget that your credit card probably charges a fee for the currency conversion.
I ordered the LOTR set from them and it will not play on either of my ps3's
I passed on this yesterday, figuring they would hurt me on shipping. At this price, it's a steal.
Is it PAL or NTSC? I would love to buy it but would hate if it were PAL and unplayable.
In for one as well as 'The Pacific' on Blu-ray/tin box set for 14.99 pounds too. $47.30 delivered for both sets.
@lbosarge: Region A & B (North America and Europe).
I have this exact set and it works in my US PS3 just fine. I paid $50 from Amazon uk when I got it though. That was almost a year ago.
Make it a set with The Pacific Tin Box edition for $25.35
Such a great series.
@impirfekt: Amazon charges your credit card what you see on your invoice in your local currency. I have never been charged by Amazon(UK)anything but USD.
Read the fine print here:

@jhewitte: Yes, that is true. But if you take the pound amount it is showing you and Google a pound to dollar calculator the dollar amount doesn't quite jibe with the pound amount it shows you. It looks like it's around a 4% inflation over the pound.
@impirfekt: True That....I would rather pay Amazon than BOA anytime.
@lbosarge: PAL and NTSC formats don't apply to Blurays. You only need to worry about region locking, and someone else reported that it works in the North American region.
Anyone know what the difference is between the set posted here and this one for the same price?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Band-Brothers-HBO-Complete-Blu-ray/dp/B001DEAAIY/
The second one has a release date that's slightly newer and more reviews but I can't see what the difference is.
Also, how exactly can you tell in this case it's the North American version?
Thanks!
This series makes me proud to be an American. Wish we still had the mind set of the Americans then, now.
@leonardotmnt: Is it the same price? That's the one I posted yesterday, and it looks like they raised the price on it nearly 5 pounds.
As far as the differences between the two, there was a post on the forums at Bluray.com that mentioned that this set was slightly slimmer, to match the Pacific set, and that it had a slightly different, more durable finish. Also that some text is missing from the front, that was present on the first release.
I was able to glean the region(s) from the reviews. Wish they made it more apparent in the listing itself.
tried once, and it worked fine in my ps3 and now i'm buying for a friend. as far as i know, works fine in usa!
